The e-Visa is an alternative to visas issued at overseas missions and at the ports of entry.
Applicants obtain their visas electronically after entering required information and making payments by a credit or debit card (MasterCard, Visa or other online payment methods).
The link to download your e-Visa is given on the final step where you will be informed that your application has been completed successfully. In addition, the same link to download your e-Visa will be emailed to you. Passport control officers at ports of entry can verify your e-Visa on their system. However, you are advised to keep your e-Visa with you either as a soft copy (tablet PC, smart phone, etc.) or as a hard copy in case of any failure on their
System
We’ve discovered that a lot of our clients are confused about e-visas. There is a sense that an e-visa isn’t a real visa, or that you might not actually need one in order to visit certain countries. Let’s take a moment to clear up the confusion surrounding e-visas right now.
E-visa is short for electronic visa. It is simply a visa that you can apply for on your own through a country’s visa website. They are no different than other types of travel visas. The only difference is that you can complete the application online.
Countries that currently facilitate e-visas or allow you to apply visa electronically include Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK, USA, Sweden, Netherlands, Oman, Hong Kong, Latvia,Turkey, ARMENIA, Thailand, Egypt, Vietnam, Ivory Coast (Cote d’Ivoire), , Ethiopia, , Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Cambodia, Georgia, Kenya, Malaysia, Moldova, Myanmar, Rwanda, Singapore, St. Kitts And Nevis, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Zimbabwe, India, Sri Lanka and many more..
In order to enter most of these countries, you will need an e-visa. Some people try to go to these countries without first obtaining an e-visa, but that’s never a good idea. If you don’t have an e-visa when you arrive in one of these countries, you may be subject to a fine or not be allowed to enter at all.
In most cases, your e-visa will be approved instantaneously. That means that you can apply for an e-visa any time before your upcoming trip. Just keep in mind that your visa may expire within 60 days, so you don’t want to get it too far in advance. Contact Swift to determine logistics.
You should also keep in mind that e-visa websites can sometimes be finicky. Don’t put yourself in a situation where you need to obtain an e-visa within a matter of hours, because you might run out of luck.
The team here at GATE International is always happy to help you apply for e-visas. Just contact our team and let us know where you’re trying to go.
